Family relationship break down or conflict is a very common presenting concern and is often the result of individuals being hijacked by their own emotions and then attempting to get those needs met. At Emmerling Psychology, we believe in the healing power of families and how important it is to include and support all members of the family in the healing process. We strive to help families identify the maladaptive emotions and patterns that are maintaining symptoms or leading to conflict/relationship break downs. This involves creating a safe space for each person to process their emotions and learn new skills to have their voice/emotions heard, understood, and validated. It also means helping each person to have more awareness of their own emotions, patterns, and triggers so that they are able to have more control over their communication style.

Hello! I am Savannah Beckman, a Registered Psychologist. I was drawn to the psychology field after my years of working with teenagers in a mentorship setting. Through this work, I realized how important it was to remind others of their worth and purpose. This is what drives my work today. You are important. You matter!

I view therapy as a team effort! Together, you and I will work to explore emotions, feelings, and situations. I work from a humanistic perspective, believing that you are the expert of your own experience and your own world. I use emotion focused therapy, emotion focused family therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy in my work.

I work with families, couples, children (age 3+), adolescents, and adults in many different areas of life. I am trained in Gottman methods, and am a Therapeutic Play Practitioner to work specifically with couples and children. I can work alongside eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and a variety of interpersonal concerns. I acknowledge that every one’s journey is unique, and hold space for every story that walks through my office doors.

Personally, I live with my amazing husband, and we love to be with people! You can find us camping, hiking, or spending time with our families. I cannot wait to meet you!

Kristie Bennett is a Registered Psychologist with a deep passion for helping women in midlife navigate the emotional terrain of change, loss, and personal transformation. She works with women over 40 experiencing burnout, anxiety, body image issues, disordered eating, perimenopause and menopause, and the aching question of “Is this all there is?”

Having returned to graduate school in her 50s, Kristie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her practice. As a mother to three adult daughters and someone who has walked through her own midlife reckoning, she offers therapy that is both clinically grounded and profoundly human.

Kristie creates a warm, supportive space where clients can explore who they are beyond the roles they’ve played — caregiver, partner, perfectionist, peacekeeper. Her work is rooted in an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and body-aware practices. She gently incorporates nervous system education through the lens of polyvagal theory, helping clients understand the connection between their emotional patterns and physiological states.

Above all, Kristie is here to support women who are ready to rise, reimagine their lives, and reclaim the parts of themselves they’ve long silenced. Therapy with Kristie isn’t about fixing — it’s about becoming whole.

My name is Maddy Killoh (she/her) and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I was drawn to this profession through my genuine love of connection. I am a “people person” through and through and truly value the healing that can come from connecting with others.

My approach to therapy is to support you in understanding your needs, increasing your self-awareness and self-confidence, and using that personal growth to overcome challenges. I work with adults, couples, and teens (13+). I especially enjoy working with individuals who are seeking to better understand themselves, their emotions, their values, and how these all interact. I also have experience supporting couples navigating challenges including infidelity, persistent conflict, and difficulties with communication.

A session with me can be described as collaborative, curious, compassionate, and always welcoming of laughter or tears. I strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment where we can build a strong therapeutic relationship to support you in your growth. I primarily work from a humanistic, emotion-focused perspective and often integrate practical skill-building that can be brought outside of the therapy room. Ultimately, I view you as the expert in the room and look forward to working together to encourage growth and change in the ways that work best for you.

Hello/Tansi,

My name is Lenore Schrader, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with nearly two years of practice. However, I bring over 25 years of experience working with children and families in community and school settings through a variety of roles. My passion lies in empowering individuals to harness the insight and strength they already possess, fostering meaningful change, healing, and growth as they move toward their goals.

Building a strong therapeutic rapport with each client is central to my approach. I believe in working collaboratively as a team to explore how attachment, relationship dynamics, and emotions influence the paths our lives take. I provide support for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, attention deficit, oppositional defiance, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief and loss, and existential crises, among others.

I work with children aged 8 and up, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I thoroughly enjoy engaging with every age and stage of life. My therapeutic approach is rooted in emotions and attachment, yet it is always tailored to meet the unique needs, lived experiences, values, and beliefs of my clients.

While I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, I often incorporate play therapy for younger clients, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Gottman Method Level 2 for couples, trauma-informed therapy, Polyvagal Theory, grief therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy.

I was drawn to psychology as an adolescent seeking answers, healing, and understanding. Taking the step to ask for help is courageous, and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward well-being.
